Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Utah Construction Signals is operated by Taylor Peterson, a sole proprietor in Utah doing business as Utah Construction Signals (“we”, “us”).
2. Personal data in our content
We publish facts about land-use items from public agendas. We remove names, email addresses and phone numbers of applicants, residents and staff; business names may appear. To ask us to correct or remove something, contact us below.
3. What we collect from you
Browsing the site requires no account. We collect the minimum needed: if you subscribe or buy an ad, Stripe processes your payment and gives us your name, email, billing details and purchase history. We never see or store full card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.
If you sign up for the free weekly digest, we store your email address, the cities you pick, and the times you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed in our database on Cloudflare (D1), and send the emails through Resend (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy). We do not track email opens or clicks. After you unsubscribe we keep only what we need to honor it.
If you create an account, we store your email address, sign-in times and a hashed session identifier in a strictly necessary, HttpOnly sign-in cookie (no tracking). Sign-in links are sent through Resend. For paid plans we receive your subscription status and plan from Stripe, linked to your email.
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email and message by email and keep them to reply; for rate limiting we store only a one-way hash of your IP address, your email and the time.
4. Hosting, logs and analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and delivery and may keep short-term logs. We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other analytics service.
5. Cookies
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The sponsored bar remembers if you minimize it in your browser’s session storage only. Stripe Checkout pages set their own cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention. If we ever add other cookies, we will update this policy first.
6. How we use data
To provide and bill your subscription or ad, send service emails, prevent fraud, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it except with the processors above or when required by law.
7. Retention
Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires (generally up to 7 years); other data is deleted when no longer needed.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, subject to records we must keep by law. Utah residents may have rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act where it applies.
9. Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
